Personal Statement
I have been wrestling since I was ten years old. Since I first stepped on the mat, I have aspired to wrestle at the collegiate level. I know collegiate wrestling takes an immense amount of hard work and dedication and I am more then willing to put in the hours to achieve my goals.
I'm fast on my feet, great stamina and I work hard on perfecting my technique. I'm quick to fix small areas that could halter my performance in the next match and I have a solid low single. I am a team leader and try to lead by example while also encouraging my teammates. I am very coachable and strive to be one of the hardest working wrestlers and one of the hardest working recruits you’ll find. I'm always the first to show up and the last one to leave practice.
In the classroom, I try to push myself academically, study hard and maintain a high GPA.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself on and off the mat. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.
